How we rate Instagram growth services
What we read
For each service we open its public Trustpilot profile and record the score, the number of reviews, the share of one-star and five-star reviews, and how many reviews were written in the last 12 months. Each figure is stored with the date it was read, and shown with that date.
Praise and complaint themes come from the reviews themselves: the most recent five-star reviews for praise, and the most recent one- and two-star reviews for complaints. Every quote is verbatim, with the reviewer’s display name, star rating and date as Trustpilot shows them.
Prices, refund terms and what a company sells come from that company’s own website, with the date we read them.
How the order is set
Services are ordered by Trustpilot score, then by number of reviews. Software tools you run yourself are ranked separately, because they sell a different thing. Ratings Trustpilot has suspended sit in their own group, since a withheld score has no honest place in a score-ordered list.
The verdict
One rule, applied to every case file the same way, including the case file for the company that runs this site:
| Top rated | Score 4.5 or higher, one-star share 10% or lower, at least 50 reviews |
|---|---|
| Well rated | Score 4.0 or higher, one-star share 15% or lower |
| Mixed reviews | Anything between well rated and poorly rated |
| Poorly rated: avoid | Score below 3.0, or 40% or more of reviews one-star |
| Too few reviews to judge | Fewer than 20 reviews |
| Rating suspended by Trustpilot | Trustpilot withholds the score for a breach of its guidelines, most often after removing fake reviews |
| Profile removed by Trustpilot | Trustpilot has taken the profile down for going against its guidelines |
| No Trustpilot profile | No profile could be found for the business |
| No longer sold | The brand has closed, or its site now redirects to something else |
| Not ranked | Its Trustpilot reviews are about services other than Instagram growth |
What we do not do
- We do not take payment to list, rank or remove anyone, and there are no affiliate links.
- We do not buy and test services. Every case file is the public record, read and dated.
- We do not mark up Trustpilot’s figures as our own ratings in search results.
- We do not edit quotes, except to trim at a sentence boundary.
Who runs this, and why that matters
Reviews Encyclopedia is run by Virallized, an Instagram growth service listed here. That is a conflict of interest, so the method is built to leave nothing to our judgement: the order is Trustpilot’s, the verdict is a fixed rule, and every figure links to the page it came from. Virallized’s own case file shows all of its critical reviews.
